RMM integration

Omnia Manage and Level

Omnia Manage reads the Level groups you link to clients and keeps each client’s asset register current from their devices.

What it brings in

  • Devices from every Level group you link to a client.
  • Make, model, serial number, operating system, processor, memory, storage and last seen.
  • The assigned user, where Level has one.

How it behaves

  • The RMM is the source for last seen, status and the assigned user. Name, make, model, operating system, processor, memory, storage and platform are filled in from it only when Intune doesn’t already manage the device, and an empty value never clears one.
  • Devices are matched within a client by serial number, so a laptop that’s also in Intune or another RMM is one asset, not two.
  • A device not seen for the offline threshold is marked inactive and flagged for review, and one removed from the RMM is marked the same way.
  • Anything you set by hand, including a status, is never overwritten by a sync.
  • A client’s first sync is silent, so connecting a large estate doesn’t send a flood of new-device emails.

Good to know

  • Devices with no serial number, such as some virtual machines, are skipped and counted in the sync result.

Questions

How do clients map to Level?

You link each client in Omnia Manage to the Level group that holds its devices. Devices in linked groups sync, and the rest are ignored.

Does it change anything in Level?

No. It only reads devices.

Does Level supply installed software?

Not today. Installed software comes from Intune and Action1. Licences from other vendors are added once by hand or imported.
