Cloud integration
Omnia Manage and Microsoft Azure
Omnia Manage reads each client’s Azure subscriptions for spend, savings and resources, and shows them beside their devices and licences and in the client IT review.
What it brings in
- Monthly spend by service for the last 12 months, per subscription.
- Cost recommendations from Azure Advisor.
- Resources: virtual machines, Arc servers, databases, storage and web apps, each with last month’s cost, linked to the matching device record.
How it behaves
- Access is a Reader role on each subscription. Nothing in Azure is changed.
- Azure savings are added to the unused-cost total on your dashboard.
- Each part refreshes at most about every 20 hours, so costs stay current without hammering the API.
Good to know
- Some subscriptions hide cost data, which is common with CSP. Those are recorded with a note instead of failing the sync.
Questions
Do I need a separate sign-in for Azure?
No. Azure uses the same Microsoft app as Microsoft 365, so there are no extra credentials to manage.
Can it change my Azure resources?
No. Access is read-only.
